The estimated timeframe field on a post is now a slug into a new admin-manageable post_target_dates table (/admin/target-dates, mirroring Tags/Statuses/Owners) instead of free text, with manual reordering — that order now also drives a new "By timeframe" toggle on the Roadmap board, which regroups the same posts by target date instead of status (an "unscheduled" bucket catches posts without one). LaSuite.coop roadmap — fork of Fider
This is a private fork of Fider (upstream repo), an open-source feedback portal, adapted for LaSuite.coop's roadmap at roadmap.oxymoron.fr.
Everything in the "features added since the fork" section below was vibe-coded — built through AI-assisted conversation rather than by hand — on top of the upstream Fider codebase.
Fider's core features (legacy, from upstream)
- Public feedback board: users submit, vote on, and comment on suggestions.
- Roadmap kanban board (posts grouped by status).
- Admin dashboard: tags, statuses, moderation queue, user management (visitor / collaborator / administrator roles), danger zone.
- Email and OAuth sign-in, invitations, private/public tenant modes.
- Duplicate post detection — merges votes into an original post.
- In-app and email notifications for status changes, comments, and mentions.
- RSS/Atom feeds, webhooks, and an API key for programmatic access.
- Custom domain, custom CSS, and multi-language locale support.
- Multi-tenant SaaS features (billing/Pro tiers) — present in the codebase, not used by this self-hosted deployment.
Features added since the fork
- Custom, admin-manageable post statuses (
/admin/statuses) — replacing Fider's fixed status enum, with manual reordering, a per-status flag marking it as "done" work (used by the changelog), and an explicit "set as default" control for which status new posts land on. - Roadmap kanban reordering — drag-and-drop post ordering within a roadmap column.
- Persistent product-switcher sidebar on the Home and Roadmap pages — a single-select "which product" filter plus multi-select status/owner filters, replacing the old popup dropdown so multi-selecting no longer closes the menu after every click. The Roadmap sidebar also filters by owner.
- Post owner (
/admin/owners) — an admin-manageable list (e.g. "LaSuite.coop" vs. "État / DINUM") tracking who's actually building a feature, independent of its status. Shown as a colored left border plus a visible icon+name on post cards. - Admin-set target date — a free-text estimated timeframe (e.g. "Q1 2027") on a post, independent of status. Shown on cards and on the post's own detail page.
- Admin-set external link — a URL pointing at a post's source of truth on another team's tracker/roadmap, shown as a link icon on post cards and as a clickable link on the post detail page.
- Admin-manageable tag display order (
/admin/tags) — manual reordering instead of a fixed alphabetical sort, so the product-switcher sidebar reflects whatever order the admin prefers. - Public changelog page (
/changelog) — automatically lists posts whose status is flagged as "done", most recently completed first, grouped by product tag. - Various fixes and French-locale UX polish (status filter completeness, terminology, translated labels).
